New Rotary Couplings from Holmbury
protect hose lines from torsional damage
Holmbury has introduced a new range of rotary couplings that can
rotate with low torque even when operating at maximum pressure. They are
used to protect flexible hydraulic hose lines in applications that
subject them to torsional forces or where rotational motion is needed.
Sizes range from the 1/4" which is rated up to 500 rev/min and 400
bar, to the 2" size that's rated up to 140 rev/min and 180 bar.
There are two basic types, the GGIL has its ports in-line and the GG90
which has its ports set at 90º. Port thread options are BSP, NPT and
SAE. Holmbury says its new rotary couplings are very competitively
priced and normally available from stock.
As standard the rotary couplings have zinc plated hardened steel
bodies, roller bearings and low friction seals. Options available to
special order include chrome plated bodies, metric threads and Viton
seals.
