Holmbury Ltd is proud to announce that it has become the only company in the category 'Components and Support Products', to win four Silver Medals at the SED exhibition (a tally only bettered by JCB). This year, Holmbury won its record fourth Silver Medal for the new VEP Range of screw-connect, flat face couplings. The main advantages of these couplings are their ability to connect under pressure and the complete elimination of Brinelling (indentation of the female's locking balls into the male probe, causing leaks and eventually preventing connection or disconnection). Typical applications include hand held and excavator mounted breakers, shears, auger attachments and all systems subjected to high pressure pulses.

Holmbury's other SED Silver Medals were achieved in 1993 for the VP Series of screw couplings; 1996 for the HCV6 six way changeover valve with integral flat face couplings; and 1997 for APM Series connect under pressure male couplings.
